What is your role at Metalis?
My role at Metalis is recruiting for all Shop Floor roles within Engineering and Manufacturing. I cover the Midlands region registering a wide variety of candidates such as: Production Workers, Welders, Fabricators, Sheet Metal Workers, CNC Machinists, CAD / CAM Engineers, Quality Engineers, Cell Leaders and Supervisors & Managers.
What did you do before you worked at Metalis?
Previously, I was a BDM for a national property company where we provided accommodation for companies, and their staff, when they were working in a certain area of the UK. I also partnered with the company where, through my own business, I leased properties on a night-by-night basis to our clients. I really enjoyed my role as I would meet a variety of different people from the UK & abroad and made some good relationships.
What do you enjoy the most about your job?
I enjoy that I am helping people to better themselves through their career and providing opportunities to them, where they might not have realised were available. I also enjoy building good relationships with current and new clients, as well as the candidates. My colleagues are great as well so it’s enjoyable coming into work every day!
What do you like to do outside of work?
I have two daughters who I love spending as much time with as possible. They are my pride and joy! I love socialising with my friends as well. I’m also a keen sportsman and play golf on a regular basis. If there’s any sport on tele, I’ll be watching it!
