Application Engineer - EDM
Salary: £37,000 - £44,000 (Plus car & bonus)

Are you an innovator with an entrepreneurial spirit? Metalis are working with one the leading distributors of Japanese Machine Tool Manufacturers. We are seeking an Application Engineer to play a pivotal role in the EDM Team, covering both pre and post-sales engineering activities.
This role will suit an individual coming from a technical background who is passionate about talking about real world application of product its value added proposition.
Main Duties
- As an Application Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering turnkey engineering packages.
- Planning machining strategies
- Customer training - Ensuring all Features and Benefits are covered.
- Tool and workholding selection and optimizing process parameters.
- Providing technical support for the sales team.
- Conduct demonstrations and presentations at trade shows and exhibitions.
- Mainly working from the Coventry Showroom but travel to customers sites UK and Abroad may be required.
- Independently manage challenging projects
- Collaborate with a wider team to achieve project milestones
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in CNC programming and machining strategies
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Willingness to travel nationally and occasionally internationally
