Role: CNC Laser Programmer

Metalis is working with a market leading manufacturer based in Sheffield that are looking for a CNC Laser Programmer.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing subcontract manufacturing company that provides a comprehensive range of services in a variety of major industries.
Duties of the CNC Laser Programmer:
- Completing CAD functions such as, drawing, modifying, and nesting
- Generate laser programs on Bystronic laser machinery
- Ensure geometries are accurate and in line with the drawings and procedures
- Work to tight deadlines and ensure machinery is working effectively and efficiently
Experience of the CNC Laser Programmer:
- Time served or apprentice trained with previous laser programming experience
- Must be able to convert 2D and 3D models from different formats including hand drawn sketches, samples, and other CAD software
- Previous experience with Bystronic Laser machinery & Bysoft software is preferred but not essential
- Proven ability to work under pressure, use initiative, prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
- Knowledge and experience in the sheet metal industry, specialising in Laser cutting and Press braking.
Salary & Hours:
- £25k
- Days Mon-Thursday 8.30am - 5.00pm Fri - 8.30am - 1.00pm
- Overtime
