Metalis are working with a well established and reputable company based in Sheffield, who specialise in Aerospace manufacturing. They are looking for CNC MACHINE OPERATORS (FULL-TIME, PERMANENT) to join their busy workshop. Boasting a modern and clean facility, our client is leading the way in machining parts such as bespoke rings, casings, gearboxs, aerofoils and aerostructure for the Aerospace sector. This is a fantastic opportunity.

Salary:

  • Between £27,100 and £30,728 dependant on experience.

Hours:

  • Working three 12hr shifts a week, the right candidate must be happy to work days and nights rotating. No weekends and plenty of overtime if desired.


Role Summary:
In this role you will be responsible for setting and running multi axis machines.

Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture components utilising instructions within a production pack
  • Operating CNC Lathes and CNC Milling machines
  • Working with Fanuc control systems
  • Confirm conformance of finished work to specifications, using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators and gauges
  • Progress manufacture in line with the production schedule
  • Ensure all production documentation adheres to the relevant quality standard



Person Specification:

  • Apprenticed trained or time served experience
  • A working knowledge of DMG Mori Seiki with FANUC controls or similar machine platforms
  • Highly focussed with a keen eye and attention to detail
  • Proactive, eager to learn and improve
  • Takes care and has pride in work
  • Embraces and promotes positive change
  • Able to work a 12-Hour shift system
