Design Engineer

Salary: Up to £50k per annum (DOE)
Location: Sheffield
Tenure: Permanent


Metalis are working with an established manufacturing company, who design equipment for the rail industry. This position is available to due to business growth and the successful candidates will be hired on a permanent basis.

The Role:

• Design and develop innovative engineering solutions for bespoke equipment
• Prepare detailed drawings, BOM's, work instructions, and operation & maintenance manuals
• Manage project delivery from cradle to grave
• Write technical specification for suppliers.

The Person:

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering
• Previous experience in a similar role (Rail or Heavy Engineering)
• Proficient with SolidWorks 3D modelling software,
• Full UK Driving Licence

The Details:

• Up to £50k per annum
