Field Service Engineer-Electrical bias
Working with an engineering business whp we design and manufacture
machines and develop inhouse software solutions targeted at the metal cutting industry. offering a range of plasma, oxyfuel and laser cutting machines.
Duties
- Installing and commissioning, servicing and repairing CNC plasma, oxyfuel and laser cutting machines and filters
- Providing high quality machine training to customers
- Rigorous fault finding, using first principles, hereby avoiding repeat visits
- You're actively driving knowledge sharing to improve the overall Esprit service team
- You're responsible for selling spare parts during machine services and you'll need to
- be able to explain why a certain spare part is needed
- Recommending and promoting service contracts; ability to explain to a customer what the benefits are, and communicating back to the office about the outcome of the conversations
- Delivering against key support performance metrics such as quality and customer
- satisfaction
What you'll need
- Ability to work from first principles
- A passion for delivering first-class customer experience; you go the extra mile to get customers up and running again
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in installing and servicing industrial machines
- You are electrically/control systems biased (60%) vs mechanical (40%), i.e. ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills; PC literate, comfortable working with MS Office suite
- Hyper-organized and strong attention to detail
- Willingness to travel extensively; mainly all over the South of UK, but also to Republic of Ireland, Scotland, England, France
- You've got a growth mentality - eager to learn, ready to throw yourself on new things Honest and Punctual
- Full, Clean Driving Licence
