They have an exciting opportunity for a full time permanent electrical maintenance engineer to join their team on a shift basis.
Working Hours
Your standard working hours per week 44 (190.67 Average Standard Hours per Month). The role from time to time may require the working of longer hours and weekends. The shift involves working days and nights.
Summary
A time served maintenance engineer with experience of working in a medium to heavy engineering environment. The position will involve carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance duties on a variety of machinery and equipment. Continual improvement and the use of RCA to improve the equipment OEE will be an essential pre-requisite for this position. Willingness to work overtime and differing shifts pattern is also required.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure all PPM tasks are completed on time and to the required standards
- Use RCA to identify true cause of failures and report corrective action necessary
- Improve plant OEE by ensuring issues are dealt with in a swift and effective manner with an effective first time fix
- Develop the PPM systems for key items of plant.
- Carry out proactive and reactive maintenance.
- Develop and recommend solutions to improve equipment availability.
- Ensure you are complying to health and safety procedures at all time
Ideal Candidate:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical engineering.
- Able to read electrical drawings.
- Ability to logically fault find.
- High level understanding of PLC's.
- 17th edition wiring regulations.
- Worked with CNC machines, lathes, or forge industry.
