We currently have a permanent and full time Workshop Foreman opportunity available, with a well-established and reputable Metal Fabricator company based in Sheffield. The role will involve supervising the shop floor, mainly the Press Brake and Welding departments.
Our client is a long-established company, who are one of the leaders in design and manufacturer of Stainless-Steel building products and produce a wide range of components from support systems, fixings, flooring and access equipment.
Salary will be between £30,000 - £34,000 dependent upon experience
The right candidate must be willing to work regular days, Monday to Friday.
Standard hours are 08:00am until 16:30pm but must have a positive attitude to being the first one there and the last one out.
Supervising the Press Brake and Welding department/Leadership competencies
Ensuring strict adherence to H&S rules. PPE, Manual Handling
Planning and progressing high volume, short lead time bending and welding production
Leading shop floor meetings to plan days production and report issues
Identifying and implementing targeted process improvements to achieve efficiency improvements and maximise flow
Highlighting production issues early
Must have Press Brake experience and knowledge
Knowledge and experience of Welding is advantageous
Must have proven Team Leading/Collaboration experience
Ability to work under pressure
Confident and able to make decisions
Supervision and leadership
Knowledge of H&S principals
Knowledge of Metal Working - Press Brake and Welding
Understanding/Interpreting Engineer Drawings
Knowledge of Production and KPI's
