Our reputable client has over 100 years' experience manufacturing and developing Quality Tools and Accessories. Based in Dronfield, they are lead manufacturers for a variety of industries such as Mining, Quarrying, Rock Drilling, Civil Engineering and Construction Industries.
They are looking to recruit a Forging Operative to join their hard-working team in the Forge Department. Training will be provided to operate Hydraulic Presses and other Forging Machinery.
Hours: (38.5 hours per week)
Current Covid Hours: Monday Thursday - 06:00am - 14:30pm
Friday - 06:00am - 12:30pm
Normal hours: Monday to Thursday - 07:30am - 16:00pm
Friday -07:30am 0 14:30pm
Salary:
Starting rate of £10.48ph
Brief Description of Duties:
- Operating, with on the job training, any or all of the following;
Hydraulic Presses
Grinders
Shot Blast
Heat Treatment Furnace
Suitable candidates:
- Have knowledge of and respect for all Health & Safety considerations
- Be willing to work within a forging environment which can be hot and dirty
- To be able to work unsupervised
- Capable of producing a high standard of work after training
- Be able to work primarily days but nights may be required from time to time
- Be willing to work overtime
