Metalis are working with a small manufacturing business based in Barnsley with over 90 years engineering experience, they are an established major producer of engineered products supplying worldwide markets.
They are looking for a permanent maintenance engineer to join their team on a days regular basis.
Responsibilities
- To maintain, service and install machinery including CNC routers, extrusion presses, robotic welding machines, overhead cranes etc.
- Maintain availability, reliability and activity of machinery to keep plant running.
- Using electrical and mechanical knowledge to fault find and diagnose faults on machinery.
- Respond to breakdowns and plan maintenance activities in accordance to company procedures.
- Be hands on the tools but also has managerial duties to manage sub contractors.
- Comply with current Health & Safety procedures.
Ideal candidate
- Apprentice trained within an engineering discipline.
- Mutli skilled, with both mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- At least 5 years within a maintenance role.
- Has experience leading a team or being a senior engineer.
- Flexible in order to meet the needs of a small manufacturing business.
Package:
- Normal working hours of 7:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 1:30pm finish on a Friday.
- Up to £40,000 per annum dependant on experience.
