We currently have a permanent and full time Electrician opportunity available, with our well-established and reputable precision engineering client based in Sheffield.

The right candidate must be willing to work a three shift pattern; Days, Afters and Nights.
Must be apprentice trained and qualified to a minimum City & Guild Electrical Maintenance and Plant Re-conditioning or equivalent and have 5 GCSE'S or equivalent at Grace C or above - Must include Maths an English

About the Company:
Our client is one of the Europe's leading manufacturers in precision engineering and having achieved significant growth recently, with ambitious plans to achieve further growth and expansion within the near future, they are now looking to add an apprentice trained qualified Electrician to join their hardworking personnel in a modern factory.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work within a team, whilst demonstrating personal drive and motivation to deliver results.
They will require a hands on approach and a working knowledge, operation, inspection, testing and maintenance of:

  • Electrical Distributions Systems

  • Electrical control of medium to heavy machine tools that include presses, furnaces, Shotblast machines, grinding machines, milling machines, Powder paint plants and CNC centres

  • Able to fault find on and write programs for Siemens - Mitsubishi PLC control

  • Conversant with CNC Machining centres including interrogation of Siemens - Fanuc programs for maintenance - fault finding analysis purposes



Person Specification:

  • Have good organisation and time keeping skills

  • Conversant with Health and Safety legislation including Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 - Electrical Risk assessments, safe systems of work, PUWER, Work at Height, COSHH, Isolation and Confined space procedures

  • Capable of identifying root cause failure and corrective action

  • Committed to change and continues improvement

  • Experience in developing planned maintenance schedules

  • Organising - Obtaining spares

  • Utilise the maintenance management software (Agility)to maximise plant availability

  • Demonstrate good team working abilities

  • Be able to work on own initiative

  • Be a self-starter and highly motivated individual

  • Flexible in working time - call out

  • Agile - Responds to the business needs using his skill sets.

  • Multi skilled


Qualifications Required:

Working Hours: 3 shift pattern: Days, Afters and Nights -
Week 1 - Monday to Wednesday (Days)
Thursday & Friday (Afters
Week 2 - Monday to Wednesday (Afters)
Thursday, Friday and Saturday (Days)
Week 3 - Monday to Thursday (Nights)

Salary: £27,173 Per annum with a shift allowance of £4,151 per annum. Total salary: £31,324
