Mechanical Design Engineer
Salary: Up to £45k per annum
Tenure: Permanent
Location: Pontefract
Metalis are currently working with an established manufacturing company who specialise in bespoke equipment. Our client is looking to add a Mechanical Design Engineer to their busy team in South Kirby.
The role will be essential to help support the engineering team in both internal and external design reviews.
The Role:
- Produce detailed 3D design packages and fabrication / manufacturing detailed drawings.
- Ensure all work meets contract specifications
- Plan, perform, monitor, and report on assigned tasks and deliverables.
- Participate in cost reduction
- Using SolidWorks
The Person:
- Mechanical Design experience
- Experience producing Bill of Materials
- Experience in Sheet metal / structural engineering
- HNC in Mechanical Engineering or Apprentice Trained
- Understanding and manipulation of design verification calculations e.g., acoustic, structural and heat & ventilation. (Desirable)
