Our client are a global leading engineering business who require a mechanical fitter on a rolling contract basis to join their busy manufacturing team for several years until project completion.
The right candidate will be apprentice trained to an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and those with time served backgrounds may also be considered.
Role Outlined:
You will help ensure the mechanical fitting and assembly standards are achieved in line with the overall set targets. You must be able to work a continental shift pattern which consists of Days and Nights.
Daily Duties:
- Working on a variety of high value projects
- Stripping gearboxes to base case
- Cleaning all components and inspecting and replacing where necessary
- Rebuild gearboxes and testing before dispatch
- Working to engineering drawings and tight tolerances
- Being trusted to work on classified drawing and information
- Mentoring and assisting others and less experienced colleagues
