Metalis are working with a well established company who manufacture tools for a wide range of suppliers. They are looking for a multi skilled maintenance engineer to join their team on a continental shift basis.
Major Responsibilities:
Electrical
- The ability to understand and work from detailed Electrical machine drawings
- Electrical repairs to High volume CNC and PLC controlled Production machinery
- Fault finding on various types of machinery (Plastic injection moulding machines, CNC Grinders, Assembly Machines, Heat Treatment Furnaces, Robotic Lines)
- Basic Mechanical Fault finding on production machinery would be an advantage but not essential
- Electrical Installation of Plant and equipment
- Prevention maintenance work on plant and equipment
- Portable appliance Testing
- Fixed wiring inspection and Testing (17th edition ,2394 2395 ,2396 inspection and testing certificates would be an advantage)
- Play an active part in continuous improvement / lean processes
- Maintain production equipment to the required company standard
Mechanical
- Using all Maintenance Machinery to repair Production Equipment
- Mechanical repairs to high volume production machinery
- Fault finding on various types of machinery (plastic moulding machines, grinders, assembly machines, heat treatment furnaces)
- Basic electrical fault finding on production machinery would be an advantage but not essential
- Installation and maintenance of plant and equipment
- Preventative maintenance work on plant and equipment
- Fabrication and sheet metal work
- Welding and brazing
- Working on pneumatic systems from schematic drawings
- Play an active part in continuous improvement processes
- Maintain production equipment to the required company standard
- Uses precision tools and instruments, including micrometres, Vernier's, slip gauges and small hand tools
- The ability to understand and work from detailed machine drawings

Package:
- Continental shift pattern - 3 on 3 off
- Just under £44,000 per annum salary
