Role: Production Laboratory Technician
Location: Sheffield
Tenure: 3 - 6 month contract
Metalis is working in partnership with a prestigious renewable energy solutions manufacturer in Sheffield that is looking to hire Lab Technicians on a 3 to 6 month contract.
Job Duties
- Working in a production laboratory environment, either independently or as part of a small team
- Operating and maintaining semi-automated laboratory equipment
- To deliver against targets under SQDCP (safety, quality, delivery, cost, people)
- Recording and analysing data
- Quality control
- Maintaining records to ISO 9001 (Quality Standard)
- Adhering to H&S regulations
- Ensuring the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced
- General housekeeping of the lab areas
Job Requirements
- Experience of working within a laboratory environment and worked with chemicals
- Degree or HNC in chemistry/biology derived subject desirable
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good accuracy and attention to detail
- Computer literate with good use of computer software programmes, including Microsoft office
- Experience of working with chemicals and understanding of COSHH regulations
Salary & Shift
- Three shift system (6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm, 10pm - 6am)
- £9.50ph Days, £11ph Afternoons, £11.50ph Nights
- 2 - 4 weeks training provided
