Metalis are working with a global leader in connecting, fixing, lifting and anchoring technology for the construction industry.

They are looking for a Production Planner to join their ever growing team.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Produce and update production schedules to meet delivery schedules and minimise non-productive time.
  • Produce manufacturing orders for production processes
  • Inform production of daily priorities in order to achieve OTIF deliveries
  • Liaise with sales teams to provide lead times and update on any delays to orders.
  • Coordinating both internal and external raw material supply.
  • Planning long and short term capacity and flagging up issues.
  • Regular reporting on KPIs critical to running of Unit 2 and 3 production.
  • To deputize in the absence of the Production Manager.
  • To take a key role in stock takes twice a year and follow through on corrective actions.
  • Updating/expediting Production Areas for large changes during daily production meetings
  • Ad hoc tasks as required by line manager, reasonably related to skills, knowledge and experience.

Key functional competencies and relevant experience:

  • Previous production planning Experience in a high volume, fast paced environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • M3 (Movex) / SAP or other MRP experience
  • Experience of both make to order & make to stock planning.
  • Experience of Microsoft Office (Excel - intermediate level)
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, and handle potential conflicts effectively
  • Communication to all levels, maintaining a professional manner
