Shift Electrician
Salary: £39,420.68 (Plus Overtime & Standby allowance)
Shifts: 4on 4off, 12hour shifts, days only.
Location: Nottingham
Metalis are seeking a skilled and reliable Shift Electrician to join one of the UKs largest manufacturers of foods for human and animals. As a Shift Electrician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems and equipment during designated shifts.
Daily Duties
- Performing routine maintenance and servicing of electrical systems and equipment
- Troubleshooting and repairing electrical faults and issues
- Conducting regular inspections to identify potential hazards or malfunctions
- Following all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure working environment
- Collaborating with the maintenance team to address any electrical-related concerns
- Responding promptly to emergency situations to minimize downtime and ensure employee safety
- Responding to service requests and addressing electrical issues
- Documenting maintenance activities and reporting any potential safety concerns
Qualifications & Experience
- A recognised City & Guilds electrical apprenticeship
- Knowledge of electrical systems, components, and tools used in PPM and RM
- Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints
- Conversant in basic PLC Logic invertor drives
- Previous experience working within a factory environment
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to regulations
- Able to be on call, supporting holidays and sickness
Hours - Average 42 hours per week, 4 on 4 off, 12-hour shifts, days only
Pay - Basic salary £39,420.68 per annum, paid weekly.
Overtime Rates - £281.57 per 12-hour shift + extra payment for standby and if called out.
