LOGISTICS OPERATIVE - STORES

Due to the continued success and growth of the business, we are delighted to be recruiting for a Logistics Operative to join a busy Stores Department. The role includes a variety of different tasks, including the handling of purchased parts and surplus stock. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with a 'can do' attitude, who can work well on their own as well as being part of a team.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Electronically issuing stock and processing relevant paperwork and transactions.
  • Processing Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system.
  • Responsible for putting away bespoke project item components in accordance with internal procedure.
  • Support the Stores Team Leader with tasks such as Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Oversee surplus stock and manage accordingly.
  • Participation in regular stock control counts.
  • Be available to cover in the goods inwards/receiving department when required.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a Stores/Warehouse environment would be preferable but is not essential as full training can be given to the right applicant.
  • Counterbalance forklift truck licence would be preferred.
  • The role will involve regular, repetitive lifting and handling of materials and equipment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Excellent people skills and a team player.
  • Basic computer skills would be an advantage.

What we can offer you:

  • 37.50 Hours per week, Mon-Thurs 8.00 - 4.45 pm, Friday 8.00 -12.30 pm (Early finish on a Friday).
  • Hourly Rate circa £10.56 based on experience.
