CNC Surface Grinder
Salary: Up to £31k per annum,
Location: Keighley,
Shifts: Must be flexible for Shifts
Metalis are working with a specialist engineering company who design and manufacture machinery and production equipment for a range of industries. Our client is now looking to add a Surface Grinder who can support the Machine Shop.
The Role:
- Operating a large Coburg manual surface grinder with Siemens controls
- Grinding large complex components, using flat bed grinding and surface grinding.
- Setting- components, grinding wheels, jigs, fixtures, rotary chuck.
- Working and measuring to very tight tolerances.
- Ability to use metrology equipment.
- Interpretation of engineering drawings,
- Manufacturing components to achieve critical geometrical tolerancing and ensuring product conformity
The Requirements:
- Apprentice Trained
- Applying knowledge of materials and machining methods.
Work with minimal supervision and plan workload effectively to achieve targets and KPIs.
