Job Role: CNC Machinist - Test House
Location: Sheffield
Shift: Monday to Friday, regular days.
Salary: Salary starting from £16.57ph, based on a 37.5 hours per week. Works out yearly salary of £32,311 per annum
Metalis is working in partnership with a busy Specialist Manufacturing business in Sheffield who due to continuous growth are looking to hire an experienced CNC Machinist on a permanent basis. This role will involve working in their Test House, so duties will be varied. Must be able to Set and Operate both CNC Lathes and CNC Milling machines.
Job Duties:
- CNC Machining of Fracture Toughness Specimens
- Light sawing test blocks to drawing / mark out.
- Manual Lathe and CNC Lathe machining of tensile test pieces..
- Milling of Charpy Impact Test Specimens.
- Preparation of Hardness and Metallography specimens.
- Administration and computer data input as required.
- Operation of heat treatment furnaces.
