Job Title: Trainee Manufacturing Technician

Location: Leeds

Shift: Days

Salary: £11.44ph

Metalis is working in partnership with a manufacturing company in Leeds who due to continuous growth are looking to hire a trainee technician a 12-week temporary to permanent contract.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow / interpret works orders to effectively manufacture components
• To learn and understand the processes within the manufacturing facility
• Attend any training sessions deemed suitable for your role/development
• Record daily activity on time sheets, which performance can be assessed.
• Liaise with Orthotists to aid the manufacture of specific orders.
• Occasionally accompany the Orthotist to see patients in a clinical environment.
• Tidy workspaces daily to ensure a clean environment.
• Adhere to QA and health & safety requirements.

Education and Training:

• To keep up to date with the manufacturing and production developments specifically within the orthotic industry.
• To understand basic anatomy and biomechanics to aid with manufacturing orthoses.
• To keep up to date with all machinery functions, in terms of use, care and maintenance.
• To ensure compliance with QA and health & safety requirements.

Shifts & Salary:

• 4 day working week, Monday - Thursday 9.5 hours a day.
• £11.44ph.
• Full training provided over a course of time.
• 12 weeks temporary to permanent role.
