CNC Machinist/CNC Miller

Salary: £34,000 - £38,000
Metalis is working with gearbox specialist group with CNC Milling experts operating Heidenhain and Mazatrol controls.
Job Role:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
- Select and install cutting tools, tool holders, fixtures, and workholding devices
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and adherence to specifications
- Make adjustments to machine settings as necessary to maintain product quality
- Inspect finished products for accuracy
- Preferable but not essential able to work Mazak for turning
- Predominantly will be working between the two following machines:
- Scharmann Twin Pallet Horizontal & Depo 1212 - Heidenhein
- Machining center Heidenhain TNC 530 control
Job Requirements:
- CNC Machinist/Programmer: 5 years (required)
- Previous experience as a CNC Machinist/Miller or similar role
- Proficient to perform basic math calculations
- Familiarity with tooling, power tools, and hand tools used in machining operations
- Ability to assemble components using various techniques such as welding or fastening
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD software for reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining principles
