CNC Miller Setter/Operator (Weekend Days)

If you have a strong skill set in CNC Milling and a good understanding of aerospace manufacturing requirements, this could be the perfect role for you.
As a CNC Miller Setter/Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC Milling machines to produce precision components for the aerospace industry. Your expertise in CNC machine setup, and operation will play a pivotal role in meeting the strict quality and dimensional requirements of aerospace manufacturing. Job Duties:
- Set up and prepare CNC milling machines for operation, including tooling selection and fixture setup.
- Operate CNC milling machines to produce high-quality components in accordance with aerospace manufacturing specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to ensure accurate machining processes.
- Conduct regular quality checks and inspections to verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
- Make adjustments to machine settings and offsets as required to achieve optimal results.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any machining issues that arise during the production process.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to address any non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Document production activities, including material usage, machine settings, and quality control data.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller Setter/Operator in a manufacturing environment, preferably with an aerospace background.
- Strong expertise in CNC milling, including machine setup, operation, and programming.
- Deep understanding of aerospace manufacturing requirements, including quality standards and dimensional tolerances.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of machining parameters, tooling selection, and cutting strategies for aerospace components.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, precise components.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and practices.
Salary & Hours:
- Salary - £41,000 - 41,500 per annum
- Hours 35hrs - Days 06:00am - 18:00pm
- Location: Leicester
- Position Type: Permanent, Full-time
