Job Role: Welder/Fabricator
Location: Wakefield
Salary: £17.00 Per Hour

Mon-Thurs 8:00am - 16:30pm and Friday 8:00am - 15:15pm (45min break each day)
Metalis are currently in partnership with an industry leading turnkey manufacturing business. Looking to recruit a Welder/Fabricator to join their team working regular DAYS.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out all responsibilities as instructed by the Production Manager
- Produce drawings issued by the Production Manager
- Produce Component parts in tolerance of drawing specifications.
- Produce component parts with surface finish requirements of drawing specification
- Scan drawings into operator terminal
- Ensure all production deadlines are met
- Maintain a high standard of quality control and ensure that all production is in budget
- Ensure the work environment is conducive to product and service quality
- Keep a clean and manageable working area
- Communicate regularly with the Production Coordinator on specific production
requirements - Comply with the Management System requirements for Health and Safety ensuring
others work to company and policies and procedures - Report any accidents to line manager
- Comply with Risk Assessments, Method Statements and the Health and Safety
Management System - Ensure compliance with the management systems requirement for the Environment
and Quality by working to company policies and procedures - Wear PPE as provided
- Segregate waste into correct containers
- Liaise and work in partnership with all other functions
- Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as required
- Support business development activity
- Ensure innovative processes are implemented
Candidate Requirements:
- Competent (and confident) in all technical aspects of operating brake press & guillotine
(ideally gained within a similar environment) - Experience working with stainless steel
- Ability to operate MIG and TIG plants to a high standard
- Produce stainless steel parts to very high tolerances
- Able to produce components to a high standard whilst working to tight deadlines
- Working knowledge and general awareness of health and safety issues
- Ability to provide quality information within deadlines
- Team-player and ability to work on own initiative
- Attention to detail
- Minimum City & Guilds or NVQ in relevant discipline (Desirable)

- £17.00ph
- Mon-Thurs 8:00am - 16:30pm and Fri 8:00am - 15:15pm (45min break each day)
