Health & Safety Advisor
Location - Buckingham
Salary - £35,000 - £40,000 (Dependant on experience)
Site based in the Buckingham area, with some travel required to other UK sites.
As a Health and Safety Advisor you will be working within the Compliance team and providing operational health, safety and environmental support and advice to the site team. The is a practical site-based role, ideally suited to someone who can identify issues and step in to sort them out.
This position would ideally suit someone with construction industry experience who wants to move into H&S or somebody that recently has.
- You will carry out internal audit for our contracts.
- Ensure that HSE best practices are followed up on site.
- Prepare risk assessments, conduct audits, inspections and investigations.
- Promote and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Carry out regular checks and inspections.
- Plan and implement safe systems and procedures.
- Ensure robust reporting is carried out on all HSE incidents.
- Delivering internal training on HSE related topics.
Key Skills:
- Computer literate.
- A good communicator
- Certified Internal auditor (Desirable).
- Good working knowledge of ISO 45001, 14001 and associated standards.
- Good time management skills, team player.
Personal Specification:
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate essential
- At least 3 years relevant experience in the Construction Industry.
- Membership of IOSH would be advantageous.
- Must hold a clean full driving licence and be willing to travel.
- Must be able to work independently under own initiative.
