Maintenance Engineer

Salary - £16 - £19 per hour

Hours - Monday - Thursday 07:00-16:00, 07:00 -12:00 Friday. (Overtime available)

Metalis are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer for our client based in Warwick, a recognized market leader in cutting-edge cooling and heating solutions. As they continue to grow, we are seeking a talented Maintenance Engineer to play a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of their heating and cooling systems.

Job Duties:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including inspection, lubrication, and calibration.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, utilizing your technical expertise to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Conduct repairs and replace faulty components to restore equipment functionality and minimize production interruptions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring efficient workflow and minimal disruption to production schedules.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory management.
  • Continuously monitor equipment performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements to optimize efficiency and reliability.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues using various tools and techniques.
  • Must be able to read drawings, CNC experience is preferable but not a requirement.
  • Solid understanding of preventive maintenance practices and reliability-centered maintenance concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
