Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £35,842 per annum + 20% shift allowance

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the manufacturing equipment and facilities onsite. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and perform repairs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. You will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals and collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient operations.
Job Duties:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including inspection, lubrication, and calibration.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, utilizing your technical expertise to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct repairs and replace faulty components to restore equipment functionality and minimize production interruptions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring efficient workflow and minimal disruption to production schedules.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory management.
- Continuously monitor equipment performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements to optimize efficiency and reliability.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
- Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues using various tools and techniques.
- Must be able to read drawings, CNC experience is preferable but not a requirement.
- Solid understanding of preventive maintenance practices and reliability-centered maintenance concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
