Job role: Maintenance Engineer

Hours: 37.5 hours per week - double days shifts

  • AM: Mon - Fri - 6am - 2pm
  • PM: Mon - Fri - 2pm - 10pm

Salary: Up to £39,000 per annum

Metalis is working with a well established engineering company based in Worcester, who due to growth are looking to hire a Maintenance Engineer.

Job duties:

  • To provide a repair and maintenance service (including preventative maintenance routines where applicable) covering the full range of machines available on site to an acceptable level of proficiency
  • This would include castings machines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and other electro-mechanical devices. Key
  • Performs a range of electrical installations, repairs and renovation in manufacturing plant, office, factory site, covering instrumentation, motors, pump, wiring for electrical circuits
  • Responsible for correct wiring of high value equipment and machinery
  • Testing portable electrical equipment
  • Use of PLC system control and manipulation of programme, including fault finding and enquiries and follow up. Commissioning and reading drawings
  • Report danger of faulty equipment and electrical installations through formal record system - Assist in the development of new starters and trainees
  • Drive forklift truck 3-10 tonnes
  • Simple daily FLT maintenance
  • Uphold safe working practices at all times
  • In addition, the job holder is expected to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required and as allocated by the relevant/appropriate Manage

Attributes, Qualifications and Experience Levels:

  • Accuracy and competency required in making connections, attaching leads, circuit testing
  • Drive forklift truck 3-10 tonnes (training can be provided)
  • Simple daily FLT maintenance
  • Electrical qualification
  • Ability to use tools, ammeter, voltmeter, multi tester, electrical drill, soldering equipment, general engineering tools, portable electrical tools, PC, and software
  • In depth knowledge of Health & Safety issues relating to machines and their operation
  • Good communication and people skills
  • Ability to organise own workload
