Job Description: Multiskilled Manufacturing Process Engineer
Location: Keighley
Salary: Circa. £42000 (DOE)
Shift: 37hrs/week
Metalis is working in partnership with a well-established manufacturing/engineering company in Keighley who due to continuous growth are looking to hire a skilled Multiskilled Manufacturing Process Engineer
Job Duties:
- Producing CNC programmes for a variety of existing machining work centres
- Optimise CNS programmes and manufacturing processes.
- Support machine shop productivity, when required, by working on bottlenecked work centres.
- Creates and designs production lines/cells with standard work across product range.
- Sustains implemented solutions and ensures high standards.
- Improve housekeeping standards using 5s and other lean methodologies.
- Responsible for delivering industrialised processes in line with business objectives.
Job Requirement:
- Siemens NX, FeatureCAM and Vericut programming experience is essential
- Practical knowledge of milling, boring, turning and grinding processes.
- Working knowledge of SAP would be advantageous.
- Degree in Engineering, HND/NVQ, relevant experience.
- Demonstrable record of accomplishment within Production/Process.
- Reads technical drawings and understands GD&T.
- Six Sigma Green belt.
- Ability to deploy Lean and Six Sigma techniques through kaizen events.
- Experience of cell layouts using CAD.
- A self-starter, meticulous, high decision quality, deals well with ambiguity, driven to achieve results, motivates others, plans and organised.
