Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Sheffield
Shifts: 4 weeks days and 1 week of lates (6am-2pm/10am-6pm)
Salary: £42,000 per annum
Metalis is working with a long-standing client in Rotherham who are huge players in the packaging industry for a range of blue chip clients. They are on the lookout for a mechanically biased engineer to work with the maintenance team to efficiently complete both reactive and planned maintenance.
Job Role:
- To carry out planned preventative maintenance on a range of machinery including IS machines, hot end machines and glass packaging machinery.
- Ensure compliance and health & safety procedures are followed as per legislation and company policy.
- Play an active role in the continuous improvement management system.
- To ensure that machinery is in safe working order after any adjustments or repairs.
- Ensuring stocks and spares are kept up to date and place orders for machine spares as and when required.
Job Requirements:
- Apprentice trained in a relevant mechanical engineering discipline.
- Desirable would be to have electrical skills.
- Experience in the glass industry would be beneficial.
- Working on a call basis.
