Metalis is working in partnership with a large manufacturing company in Leicestershire, who due to continuous growth are looking to hire a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer on a permanent contract.

Job Role: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Hours: 37 hours per week - three shift working pattern (AM, PM and nights)

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 dependant on experience and premium of £7980 - £8820

Job Duties:

  • To support the Operations function of the facility by attending machine / equipment breakdowns and working on facility improvements
  • The role also focuses on improving the reliability of key machines by taking a pro active approach to preventative maintenance activities
  • The facility operates with Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineers, on site training and support will be given to the suitable candidate, if required
  • To promote Health & Safety across the facility through adherence to company policies and procedures
  • To attend and work on machine breakdowns and facilities repairs in a professional manner
  • To be involved in any identified maintenance improvement projects across the facility, including those identified through the "Hazard Report" process
  • To be able to work autonomously and as part of a team

Essential:

  • Drive, passion, enthusiasm and commitment
  • Proven experience of providing maintenance support within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Proven shift based Mechanical & Electrical maintenance experience
  • Experience of CNC machines Centres, in particular Siemens and Fanuc
  • Proven experience in AC / DC servo drives
  • Strong diagnostic / Problem solving skills
  • Pneumatic and hydraulic experience gained from a multi skilled environment

Advantageous:

  • Ideally a formal qualification or equivalent in the maintenance field
  • Completion of 18th Edition wiring regulations qualification
  • Experience of CNC machining Centres, Such as Haas, Heidenhain or Mazak
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to contribute in a team environment
  • Ability to share knowledge with other team members
  • Ability to cope with complexity and to achieve goals within demanding deadlines
  • Ability to work closely with other areas of the business and an understanding of the support maintenance provides to operational performance
  • To be a self starter with drive and enthusiasm
  • To be willing and able to contribute to the development of the company through involvement in continuous improvement projects / activities
  • A willingness and drive to actively endorse and promote excellent standards of work and health and safety compliance
