Job Title: CNC Press Brake Setter/Operator - Days or nights
Location: Oldham
Tenure: Permanent
Salary: £13.43 (days) - £16.78 (night) per hour
Overtime: £20.14 - £25.17 per hour
Metalis are working closed with our customer in the Oldham area to fulfil the role of Quality Controller. They are a large, well established family company with a large range of state of the art machinery and the ability to fabricate a number of products, supplying to a vast number of customers.
The company have recently invested over £2m in machinery and will continue to do so to stay ahead of the competition, offering quality products with short lead times for their customers.
Job duties:
* Set up and operate Amada press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal according to specifications
* Read and interpret engineering drawings, and work orders to determine the correct dimensions and tolerances - Select and install appropriate tooling for each job
* Monitor machine operation to ensure quality and accuracy of finished products
* Inspect finished parts for defects and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards - Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
* Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
The person;
* Previous experience as a Press Brake Operator or similar role, ideally using Amanda machines
* Proficient in using hand tools and measuring instruments
* Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of press brake operations
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques
* Ability to assemble and disassemble tooling as needed
