Job Role: Works Planner
Location: Oldham
Shift: Days Only
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 Per Annum
Metalis is working in partnership with a market leading supplier of bespoke prefabricated steel and mechanical products in Oldham who are looking to hire a Works Planner on a permanent contract.
Job Duties:
- Planning, scheduling and coordinating production of all products in the agreed window
- Look at manning capacity and advise on requirements to achieve plan
- Coordinating fabrication planning
- Holding and organising daily morning production meetings
- Coordinating transport for outgoing product deliveries
- Liasing with customers via calls and email
- Updating customers on progress of their orders
- Dealing with customer complaints
- Reading engineering drawings to coordinate between departments
- Updating / Completing loading checklists
- Liasing with delivery partners via call and email
- Monitor and maintain production schedule
- Support and update master schedule
- Raise works orders and work to lists as required - Ensure production have requirements to achieve schedule
- Support in any ad-hoc tasks as required
Job Requirements:
- Must have experience within an engineering / manufacturing environment
- Ability to work independently and multitask effectively
- Good accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong personality with the ability to lead and conduct production meetings
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organisational skills
- Strong problem solving skills
Salary & Shift:,
- Days only
- Monday to Thursday 7am-4.30pm, Friday 7am-3.30pm
- £35,000 - £40,000 Per Annum DOE
- 3 Month Training Period
- Continuous training and support
