Job Role: Assembly Technician
Location: Manchester
Shift: Days Only
Salary: £13.20 per hour - Permanent
Metalis is working in partnership with a large manufacturer in Manchester who due to continuous growth are looking to hire a skilled Assembly Technician on a permanent contract.
Job Duties:
- To assist, learn and assemble technical products to the highest standard.
- Working from engineering drawings and work instructions, ensuring a high caliber of quality is followed at all times.
- To manufacture and develop trim jigs for the 5 Axis machines.
- To hand trim components for FAS and 5 Axis teaching aid.
- To produce plastics components to the highest quality standard, including scraping, tool making, Vacuum forming, Trimming, Gluing.
- To attend any training programs.
- To adhere to strict Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- To drive Company vehicle for collection/deliveries as and when required.
Job Requirements:
- Manual Dexterity
- High attention to detail.
- To be competent and proficient in the use of all workshop machinery through the company training program.
- Previous experience within production environment with regular hand tools.
- To be capable of reading and understanding Standard Measuring Equipment.
- To be flexible towards hours of work and carry out overtime during busy periods
- Good team worker and interpersonal skills to liaise closely with other departments.
Salary & Shift:
- 6am - 2:15pm Monday - Friday
- £13 .20 per hour, depending on experience. Rising after probation.
