Working Hours:

Rotating early and late shifts

Early Shift: Mon-Thurs 06:00-14:30, Fri 06:00-13:30

Late Shift: Mon-Thurs 13:30-22:30, Fri 12:30-18:30
(Includes 20-minute paid and 30-minute unpaid breaks)

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Tooling Engineer to support the performance, development, and maintenance of high-speed, multistage progressive press tools. This role is pivotal in ensuring tool reliability, supporting new tooling integration, and reducing downtime across a busy press shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve tooling issues
  • Performing grinding, manual milling and using lathes
  • Some CNC experience may be an advantage
  • Contribute to new tooling introduction by reviewing feasibility and collaborating with internal stakeholders
  • Manage tool refurbishments, preventive maintenance, and performance improvements
  • Support production teams by responding quickly to breakdowns or tooling-related quality concerns

What We're Looking For:

Essential:

  • Experience working with press tools
  • Hands on machining experience
  • Strong hands-on diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and resolve time-critical issues
  • A practical understanding of tooling drawings and manufacturing tolerances
  • Competence with basic computer systems (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel)
  • A self-driven attitude with strong attention to detail

Desirable:

  • Exposure to tooling design improvements or concept collaboration
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume metal pressing environment
  • Familiarity with tool changeovers and continuous improvement processes
