What is your role at Metalis?
When Metalis was initially launched I was very involved in 360 recruitment, building relationships with skilled candidates and local businesses. Since then my role has significantly evolved and the majority of my days are spent liaising with our recruitment managers, seeking out sales and new business opportunities, recruiting and training team members. I am always looking at how we can expand and I am currently planning the opening of our second office located in the West Midlands.
What did you do before you worked at Metalis?
I sold job advertisement packages and applicant tracking software to companies. Despite the packages allowing businesses to advertise their vacancies across all UK job boards, we often found that companies struggled to successfully hire via this method. In my opinion, partnering and working alongside a local recruitment agency still is the best method to fill open positions.
What do you enjoy the most about your job?
I enjoy keeping up team moral, recruiting new talent and developing good working relationships with local engineering and manufacturing businesses.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy 5-a-side and weekend football …and who doesn’t love a holiday!
