Job Role: Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Keighley
Shift: 37hrs per week
Salary: Up to £40000
Metalis is working in partnership with a well-established manufacturing/engineering company in Keighley who due to continuous growth are looking to hire a skilled Electrical Design Engineer.
Job Duties:
- Producing electrical schematic diagrams using ePLan P8 software
- Issuing electrical hardware to be purchased or manufactured to support the build of machines in our product range
- Modifying existing electrical schematics
- Producing engraving drawings and labelling reports
- Comply with customer specifications for design and project books
- Liaise with wider multi-disciplinary team to ensure that the scope of the project is clear and understood at the design stage.
- Issue electrical hardware onto the SAP business system for procurement / manufacture
- Producing assembly drawings for HMI / Enclosure assemblies
- Liaise with suppliers providing technical support when necessary
- Implement improvements, striving for a Right First Time philosophy
Job Requirements:
- Minimum ONC/HNC (or equivalent) in electrical engineering
- Eplan P8 Electrical (V2.3 - 2.7)
- Experience of producing electrical schematics for machine tools
- Microsoft office packages
- SAP business system experience
- Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings
- Understanding of the following systems would be advantageous: Servo drive systems, PLC systems, Fluid power/pneumatics systems
- Working Knowledge of BS EN ISO 60204-1
- Genuine passion for electrical engineering
- Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently
