Job Role: Industrial Electrician - Water Industry
Location: Manchester
Shift: Days Only
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 Per Annum (DOE)
Metalis is working in partnership with an Engineering Services company in Manchester who due to continuous growth are looking to hire a skilled Electrician on a permanent contract.
Job Duties:
This role provides electrical services on site, to install, inspect and test electrical equipment, making sure it is working properly and safely.
- May include installing Instrumentation, electronic valves, pumps, motors etc
- Inspecting electrical systems, wiring and equipment to ensure they are safe and functioning properly
- Fixing electrical faults or replacing parts
- Containment Installation
- Connecting sockets, switches, light fittings and appliances
- Maintaining electrical motors, transformers and machinery
- Following technical plans
- Complete reports, check sheets and documentation relevant to tasks
- Site visits may be required (Paid door to door)
- Callouts optional
Job Requirements:
- An accepted City & Guilds Apprenticeship or equivalent professional electrical qualification or HNC, HND or Eng Tech in Electrical Engineering (Trainee would be considered)
- ECS / JIB Card
BS 7671 - 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations - UK Driving Licence
- 2391-52 Inspection & Testing
- Must have experience within the water industry
- Ensure all work is completed to the appropriate levels of safety, quality & cost
- To take care of any safety equipment / tools provided and ensure they are used correctly
- Contribute towards successful communication & positive behaviours
Salary & Shift:
- Day shifts
- Monday to Friday, 8.30am-4pm
- Holiday entitlement 24 days + stats
- £35,000 - £45,000 Per Annum Depending on Experience
- Overtime available at 1.5x
