Logistics Coordinator
Location: Leicester
Job Type: Full-Time, Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £25,798 pa
Metalis are looking for someone to join the Logistics department at one of the most established Low Level Access companies, where you'll play a crucial role in our operations, ensuring the seamless and efficient flow of goods.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Order Management: Schedule, prepare, and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to requested load dates, including picking, packing, wrapping, labeling, loading, and shipping.
- Receiving: Monitor, receive, and process incoming orders in compliance with warehouse and safety regulations, involving picking, unloading, labeling, and storing.
- Inventory Control: Perform inventory controls and cycle counting, maintaining high-quality standards for audits.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Ensure a clean and safe working environment, optimizing space utilization.
- Record Keeping: Complete daily logs into inventory systems.
- Bookings: Manage bookings related to incoming and outgoing orders using systems.
- Compliance Monitoring: Oversee incoming and outgoing orders, lanes, and shipments for compliance and conformance by service providers.
- Discrepancy Reporting: Report any discrepancies promptly.
- Customer Complaints: Follow up on customer complaints received via Salesforce.
- Operational Follow-up: Monitor and follow up on operational issues and deliveries, ensuring on-time delivery (OTD) and reporting for improvements and customer satisfaction.
- Transport Activities: Manage daily transport activities, including bookings, dispatch, tracing, and reviewing standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Communication Coordination: Facilitate communication between internal and external parties, including carriers, customers, and internal facilities and departments.
- Relationship Management: Maintain strong working relationships, communicating and cooperating with the manager.
- Performance Communication: Communicate with departments regarding performance and opportunities.
- Quality Compliance: Adhere to quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Software Proficiency: Competence with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Work Ethic: Hardworking, reliable, self-motivated, with a positive attitude and flexible approach.
- Initiative: Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Communication & Organization: Strong communication and organizational skills.
