Job Role: Manual Machinist
Location: Oldham
Shift: Days Only or Nights Only
Salary: £16.00ph up to £21.33ph
Metalis is working in partnership with a specialist engineering company in Oldham who due to continuous growth are looking to hire skilled Manual Machinists on a permanent contract.
Job Duties:
- Setting and operating Manual Horizontal Boring or Manual Vertical Boring machines
- Read and understand customer issued drawings and specifications
- Inspection and quality checking of machined parts
- Ensuring quality standards are consistently met
- Working within a heavy engineering industry
Job Requirements:
- Have experience of setting and operating manual boring machines or have a milling/turning background
- Have experience working from engineering drawings
- Have experience of self-inspecting work
- Flexibility towards overtime
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Salary & Shift:
- £16.00ph for Day Shift: Monday to Thursday, 8am-4.30pm. Friday 8am-1pm (No Lunch)
37 hours total. Overtime is paid at 1.3x, Sunday overtime is paid at 1.5x - £21.33ph for Night Shift
Night Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6pm-6am (4 x 12-hour shifts)
Overtime available Friday after 1pm & Saturday & Sunday. Overtime is paid at 1.5x - Company Pension
- Bonus system based on Health and Safety (£250 every 6 months if qualify)
- Overtime available
