Metalis are working with a prestigious Engineering company based in Sheffield. They are one of the region's leading subcontract engineering providers, working within a variety of sectors including automotive, construction, and Rail.
They are a longstanding company, and due to an expanding order book, they are in search for a Machinist to join their welcoming and growing team for a fantastic new opportunity on a 12-week temporary to permanent contract.

Job Role:
- Following clear & detailed instructions and being capable of taking on new techniques.
- Assisting experienced operators in the safe loading and unloading of tooling.
- Ensuring the smooth running of production schedule.
- Loading and unloading of material manually or with FLT/Crane etc.
- Packaging, identifying and moving all completed products safety and correctly.
- Inspection duties.
- Able to read and work from engineering drawings where necessary.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to use measuring equipment (calipers, micrometres, tape measures etc.) - essential.
- Machining experience - CNC Operating etc.
- Health and safety on the shop floor.
- Working to company 6s system.
- Ability to work well as a team member.
- This is a physical role with a requirement for occasional bending, lifting, reaching etc.
Shifts & Salary:
- Days Regular - 40 hrs per week.
- £12.83+ - Dependant on experience.
- May be extended hours where needed.
- Overtime available.
