Metalis are currently in partnership with a specialist laser cutting company based in Leeds/ Morley area who are looking to hire a Laser/Machine Operative operative on a 12 week temporary to permanent basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Setting and operating tube lasers, including loading and unloading of materials for daily production requirement.

• Producing parts to exact specifications.

• Maintenance of the laser machines.

• Ensuring quality of the finished parts by inspection for accuracy and any defects.

Personal Specification:

• Experience operating laser machines.

• Experience working with steel.

• Ability to troubleshoot issues and find solutions.

• Longevity in working history.

Salary and Shifts:

• £28k per annum.

• Alternating shift 6.00am - 2.30pm & 2.00pm - 10.30pm on a 2 week rota or 2.00pm - 10.30pm permanently. Monday to Friday.

• Overtime is expected either at the beginning of their shift or at the end as well as weekends. Overtime is as and when needed.

• 12 weeks temporary to permanent position.
