Job Role: Manual Turner
Location: Sheffield
Shift: Rotating Shifts, Days and Afters
Salary: Salary is £32,266 per annum with a 12.5% shift allowance
Metalis are working in partnership with a busy Engineering and Manufacturing business in Sheffield, who due to continuous growth are looking to hire an experienced Manual Turner on a permanent basis.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for Setting and Operating various Manual Turning machines
- Following Engineering drawings and work instructions
- Perform regular maintenance checks on machinery
- Machining exotic materials
- Loading and unloading appropriate tooling, jigs, fixtures etc
- Using measuring equipment such as Verniers, Micrometres, Gauges etc
- Working to fine tolerances
Desirable Skills and Attributes:
- Previous Manual Turning experience with a proven background in machining exotic materials
- Apprenticeship trained or significant industry experience
