Job Role: Trainee Maintenance Engineer
Location: Oldham
Shift: Days Only
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 Per Annum
Metalis is working in partnership with a market leading supplier of bespoke pre-fabricated steel and mechanical products in Oldham who are looking to hire a Trainee Maintenance Engineer on a permanent contract.
Job Duties:
- Working to a maintenance schedule and implementing computerised maintenance scheduling software
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a range of mechanical equipment
- Identify faults, diagnose and repair on standalone machinery
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Work closely with the production team to minimise downtime and optimise production output
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work and ensure that all equipment is safe and compliant with relevant legislation and standards
- Fault finding and diagnostic duties
- Some manual work
Job Requirements:
- Ideally apprentice trained or qualified with an NVQ in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Must have previous experience through either working or education, training will be provided
- Excellent communication skills
- Electrical knowledge would a distinct advantage
Salary & Shift:
- Day shift, Monday to Friday
- 7am-4.30pm Monday to Thursday & Friday 7.30am-3.30pm
- £30,000 - £35,000 Per Annum
