What is your role at Metalis?
I am a recruitment consultant specialising in Commercial and Senior Leadership roles. I help identify and connect top-tier talent for Commercial and Senior Leadership roles within the engineering sector. My role is to understand the unique needs of our clients, source quality talent who align with their requirements, and facilitate successful matches that drive growth and innovation in the industry.
What did you do before you worked at Metalis?
Before working at Metalis is worked as a recruitment consultant in temporary healthcare staffing for nearly 2 years. I learnt a great deal of useful skills which allowed me to quickly transition to permanent engineering recruitment! Prior to that I worked in community Pharmacy, dispensing prescriptions and offering health advice to the public.
What do you enjoy the most about your job?
What I really love about my job is getting to connect with clients and candidates on a personal level. Building those relationships, understanding what they're looking for, and then making the perfect match is such a great feeling. It's all about trust and teamwork, and knowing you've helped someone find the right fit is super rewarding.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work, I absolutely love traveling and exploring new places. Whether it's a weekend getaway to a nearby city or a longer adventure to a far-off destination travel always excites me! I'm also a big believer in staying active, you'll often find me hitting the gym or going for a run. On weekends, I love exploring and trying new activities – hiking a new trail, attending a class, or simply diving into a new hobby. I'm also a bit of a foodie at heart! I enjoy discovering new restaurants, cafes, or food spots.
