Job Role: HS&E Manager
Location: Sheffield, S25
Shift: Monday - Friday
Salary: Circa £45,000 DOE

Metalis is working in partnership with a well-established manufacturing company in Sheffield who due to continuous growth are looking to hire a HS&E Manager

Job Duties:

  • To maintain effective HSE policies, programs, and practices to ensure a safe and environmentally sustainable work environment for employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain HSE policies that align with UK regulations
  • Monitor health, safety, and environmental regulations, and ensure the company's compliance.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, participate in inspections, and maintain all necessary permits and licenses
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace
  • Develop and deliver HSE training programs to educate employees
  • Monitor HSE performance metrics and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Encourage a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork to achieve QHSE & Lean objectives.

Job Requirements:

  • A degree in engineering, occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field
  • Relevant professional certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Experience in HSE management, preferably in an engineering or industrial setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience in incident investigation techniques and root cause analysis.
  • Proficiency in HSE management systems and software.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
