Job Role: HS&E Manager
Location: Sheffield, S25
Shift: Monday - Friday
Salary: Circa £45,000 DOE
Metalis is working in partnership with a well-established manufacturing company in Sheffield who due to continuous growth are looking to hire a HS&E Manager
Job Duties:
- To maintain effective HSE policies, programs, and practices to ensure a safe and environmentally sustainable work environment for employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Create and maintain HSE policies that align with UK regulations
- Monitor health, safety, and environmental regulations, and ensure the company's compliance.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, participate in inspections, and maintain all necessary permits and licenses
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace
- Develop and deliver HSE training programs to educate employees
- Monitor HSE performance metrics and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
- Encourage a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork to achieve QHSE & Lean objectives.
Job Requirements:
- A degree in engineering, occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field
- Relevant professional certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH.
- In-depth knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Experience in HSE management, preferably in an engineering or industrial setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience in incident investigation techniques and root cause analysis.
- Proficiency in HSE management systems and software.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
