Metalis are working with a global manufacturing company who due to an internal promotion are searching for an Account Manager to head up their Iron & Steel Category. As an account manager you will be expected to grow current sales and seek new business. This role will involve cover a territory across South Yorkshire roughly going from Sheffield to Scunthorpe.
Due to the changing daily nature of the position, there is a degree of flexibility when choosing your hours and you will be working a hybrid model of part home, part office. There is a generous package on offer with a salary up to £45,000, Expensed Company Car, Private Medical and generous Pension Scheme.
Daily Duties:
- Representing the company to the highest standard when visiting clients
- Seeking new opportunities to grow the business.
- Developing and sustaining existing clients.
- Setting of personal targets for the month and year. Ambitious but Achievable.
- Monitor Forecasted Results and update management with progress.
- Regular meetings with your line manager and senior commercial team.
- Writing of sales, budget & progress reports.
- Delivering Presentations.
- Demonstrating and selling at Tradeshows.
The Ideal Candidate:
- You will have a HNC or Equivalent in Engineering
- You MUST have a valid driving licence.
- Minimum 3 years sales into Engineering firms or similar.
- A good general knowledge of Steel, Iron, Metal industry.
- A confident Salesperson able to adjust their approach to suit the needs the business.
- Able to work independently and self-motivate.
