Job Title: Automation Engineer
Location: Huddersfield
Shifts: Days regular
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum
Our client, a world leader in the design and commissioning of large machining centres, are looking for an experienced automation engineer to join the team. This is an exciting new role for someone to come in and assist with the retrofit side of the business.
Job Role:
- Working with customers and engineers both office based and over the phone, to diagnose and correct electrical and PLC software issues encountered with excising machines relating to control systems and drives.
- Update exciting machines, providing new electrical panels and updated CNC systems.
- Assist with commissioning on customers sites, including a little bit of travelling locally throughout the UK to update exciting machinery.
- Supporting the company in securing more potential business, by identifying and submitting engineer leads for new service contracts.
Job Requirements:
- Apprentice trained in a relevant electrical or controls discipline.
- Ideally experience with CNC or manual controlled machining centres.
- Knowledge of Heidenhein & Fanuc control systems.
- PLC programming and electrical design experience would be desirable.
- Commissioning experience within heavy industry.
