Job Title: Maintenance Fitter
Location: Sheffield
Shifts: Days & Afternoons
Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 per annum
Metalis is working with a company based in Sheffield who manufacture wire materials for a range of different industries including agricultural and entertainment.
Job Role:
- To ensure that all plant, machinery, land, and buildings are maintained to the highest standards.
- To ensure all work is carried out in the most efficient, safe, and environmentally acceptable manner.
- Liase with maintenance supervisor to ensure timely repair of machinery.
- Carry out planned maintenance work as laid out by maintenance supervisor.
- To ensure that at the start and end of each shift all tools and equipment are accounted for and available for next shift.
- To keep accurate daily and weekly records of work carried out on jobs.
- To report any accidents or near misses.
- Control all maintenance related consumables, ensuring that stock is ordered in a timely manner.
Job Requirements:
- A time served or apprentice trained maintenance fitter, mechanical fitter or mechanical engineer.
- A good knowledge of heavy-duty machinery and how to keep it maintained.
- A good knowledge of health & safety and able to follow company policies and procedures.
