Job Title: Mechanical Fitter
Location: Sheffield
Shifts: 1 week rotating shift pattern, 1 week days (6-2), 1 week afters (2-10) and 1 week nights (10-6)
Salary: Circa £36,000 per annum
Metalis are working with a well established steel production company in Sheffield, who are looking to add to their experienced maintenance team.
Job Duties:
- Day to day maintenance of plant and machinery within factory with a mechanical bias.
- Respond to machine breakdowns efficiently in order to reduce production downtime.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance schedule in accordance with company policy.
- Working daily with heavy industrial machinery and mechanical components such as gearboxes, motors, bearings and pumps.
Job Specification:
- Apprentice trained in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience within a similar role in mechanical fitting or maintenance.
- Good knowledge of health & safety.
- Experience within heavy industry would be an advantage.
